Director- FICO – UK Onsite Opportunity

As Director – SAP S/4HANA Finance, you will operate at Solution Architect level, leading the design and delivery of complex finance transformation programmes across our client portfolio.

This is a highly strategic, client-facing role where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders—owning solution architecture, shaping finance roadmaps, and guiding organisations through S/4HANA transformations across on-premise, private and public cloud environments.

Alongside delivery, you will play a key role in growing the SAP Finance practice—supporting pre-sales, developing capability, and defining best practice. This role requires a blend of deep finance domain expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to lead teams and influence at Board and CFO level.

What you’ll be doing

• Own end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solution architecture across Record-to-Report and related finance processes
• Lead discovery, Fit-to-Standard and design workshops with senior finance stakeholders (FD, CFO, Finance Transformation leads)
• Define scalable, sustainable solution designs aligned to SAP best practice and client objectives
• Provide architectural leadership across complex, multi-module programmes (FI/CO integrated with MM, SD, PS, etc.)
• Oversee delivery quality, including design governance, integration approach, and key solution decisions
• Lead and support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, estimations, demos, and RFP/RFI responses
• Present compelling, value-led finance transformation solutions to prospective and existing clients
• Act as a senior escalation point for delivery teams, providing guidance on complex functional or architectural challenges
• Mentor and develop consultants, leads, and architects within the Finance practice
• Contribute to practice growth through development of accelerators, assets, and repeatable delivery models
• Support strategic initiatives, innovation, and capability building aligned to SAP’s roadmap

What we’re looking for

Essential experience

• Extensive SAP Finance consulting experience, including multiple S/4HANA implementations
• Proven experience operating at Solution Architect or senior functional lead level on large-scale programmes
• Deep expertise across SAP FI/CO (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO) and end-to-end Record-to-Report processes
• Strong understanding of finance integration points across SAP (MM, SD, PS and beyond)
• Experience designing and governing complex, enterprise-wide SAP Finance solutions
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA capabilities including Fiori, embedded analytics, and standard reporting
• Demonstrable experience in pre-sales, including solution design, client presentations, and commercial input
• Ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders, including CFO-level
• Strong leadership capability, with experience mentoring and guiding delivery teams
• Experience working within structured delivery methodologies (e.g. SAP Activate, Agile)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business outcomes

Desirable experience

• Exposure to Treasury (TRM), Joint Venture Accounting (JVA), or Project Systems
• Experience across public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid SAP landscapes
• Experience building and scaling delivery capability within a consulting practice
• Involvement in strategic initiatives, innovation programmes, or proofs of concept
• Experience across multiple industries and client environments
