The client is a leading regional supermarket chain in the US that runs over 200 supermarket stores and also owns and operates a milk processing plant, shopping centers, and gas stations across the country.
Business Challenge
The customer was migrating from an ECC 6.0 Finance solution along with its legacy retail systems to the SAP S/4 suite. They wanted to streamline their business operations across the board to drive efficiency and bring additional capabilities to their operations to accelerate innovation, generate value, and optimize the customer experience.
The key challenge when Applexus took over was that the client lacked documentation on existing business processes and business process criticality. Furthermore, there were no test management systems already in place.

As the customer's partner on its digital journey, Applexus worked with the business users to document the business process in order to prepare for UAT acceptance. The new solution structure was documented and it categorized the business processes by criticality and prioritized them based on business risk. This increased the visibility of the business process across the organization and enabled better decision making.
Applexus also developed test assets which included 670 test cases, 100 automated tests and 98 end-to-end scenarios and test user stories. For the customer, Applexus’ solution also helped to plan, streamline and manage the overall testing including status reporting to the project stakeholders.
